Blige vs Stone

By Ptolemy Montacute
Mary J Blige has hit out at pretend American Joss Stone for being childish.

During a recent arena gig in New York, Mary J. invited Joss Stone to join her on stage to sing a duet on one of Bliges top hits. Blige was shocked when Stone accompanied her and she just repeated everything Blige sang.

Blige advised "I heard a lot about this young English kid who was supposedly a great new RnB singer, so I invited her to sing with me, and how does she repay me? By copying me - honestly its so childish. So when I sang the chorus "What a beautiful day" she then sang "Oooh What a beautiful day yeh", and I sung the next line "You know its going to be" so she sang "Yeah You know its going to be yeah". It's like duh - copy!" She added "I don't know why she would behave like this, trying to get at me by repeating everything I say - what a baby - its like I grew out of that when I was seven!"

This brief statement was issued by Stone "Yeah Guy, if yo gonna play with this bitch, yo betta look out atcha. I am the reincarnation of Janis Joplin. If Janis Joplin repeated her duetting partner's lines, then this mutha is gonna do it the same - ya dig".

Joss Stone was unavailable for further comment as she was helping to organise her sisters Gymkhana, in the grounds of their family manor house near Bishops Lydiard, Devon.

Joss Stone.
Although she was born and brought up in South West England,
she has as much right as anyone to pretend to be American.

WINDYPOPS SAYS: It is a little known fact, but Janice Joplin was asked to be the fourth member of The Monkees. When she turned it down they got in Micky Dolenz instead, and the rest, as they say, is history.
